HOW TO MAKE YOUR IDEA STICK

Simple.
 Less is more.

By uncovering the key topic, and using the least amount of words to explain the core value.  Analogies, schemas, and proverbs help illustrate this.

Unexpected. What your audience didnʻt see planned.

When you think outside the box and create thought-provoking questions, this will leave your audience questioning your topic and want to know more about it.  Unexpected creates a need for information.

Concrete. Make it stick in your audience's mind.

When an idea is too farfetched, it creates disinterest.  Providing details that your audience can retain and remember later will help make your idea seem real and tangible.  Visual representations are an excellent way to paint a picture around your topic.

Credible. Trustworthy resources.

Your audience will be more convinced to trust your idea if reputable people back it.  Seeing is believing and if we see the results from people we trust, then thatʻs a sure-fire way to convince your audience of your ideaʻs credibility.

Emotional. How  your audience will respond or relate to your topic

Gone are the days where people look at numbers as proof of purchase power.  People respond to the emotion conveyed, how the topic made them feel in that moment.  Having an emotional understanding of your audience will help make you relatable and trustworthy in their eyes.

Tells Stories. Stories help inspire your audience.

Stories are a way to help your audience relate to your idea.  When they see themselves going through the same struggles and see how much youʻre succeeding, that helps motivate your audience to take a chance on you and your idea.  They donʻt see you trying to sell them a product; they see themselves and all their hopes and dreams coming true.  Stories are the backbone of every successful entrepreneur.

  1. Hi Kawena, I love how your infographic turned out. I found all of your definitions to have logic. Your interpretation of "concrete" was really great and showed a lot of clarity because you elaborated and illustrated an example of how to be concrete.
